After I left my hometown and started my master's degree in a totally different environment, I started to see my introverted self more than when I stayed in my comfort zone, especially when I went to social networking events. However, as a beginner in the field, building a network is vital.
And I started wondering if there were other people experiencing a similar situation. That's when I came across the book 'Quiet: the power of introverts in a world that can't stop talking' by Susan Cain.
In a TED video about her research, she said "about a third to half of the population (in America) is introverts". This applies to the rest of the world.
Therefore, HALF of the people are what I'm dealing with here.
